A leading Pensions services company is looking for a Finance Manager on a definite period of 9 to 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for accounting and payroll services to a portfolio of clients as well as leading a team of 5 employees. We are looking for someone who is professionally qualified accountant (CPA/CIMA/ACCA preferred) with 5 years’ experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce accounting, audit, tax compliance solutions, to existing and new clients
  • Forming of HR and payroll solutions for clients
  • Production of management accounts and financial statements (in line with Group timetable)
  • Forecasting and annual 3-year plan creation
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with any external personnel
  • Manage, mentor and motivate the accounts team (direct reports and virtual teams)
  • Undertake financial analysis and regulatory reporting as required
  • Recommend improvements to existing forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Responsible for the tax reporting for the company and advise the management with tax efficient plan
  • Review and communicate the financials of our entities.
  • Maintain all financial systems and processes in line with Group policy
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Professional qualified accountant (CPA/CIMA/ACCA preferred) with ideally 5 years relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Malta individual and company tax
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and understanding of financial issues
  • Hard-working, efficient and motivated by results
  • Excellent communicator, with both internal and external colleagues at all levels Professional services industry experience an advantage
  • Team player and ability to lead as well as manage
  • Proficient in both spoken/written English
  • Experience with ViewPoint accounting an advantage but not essential
  • Analytical, detail-minded and logical thinking
  • Proficient in MS Excel
