A leading IT software company based in the southern area of Malta is looking for a Finance Team Lead to join their finance team in Malta. You will lead and oversee the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidates will have 5 – 7 years’ experience in financial roles, including managerial experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Efficiently monitor and manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, by delegating tasks to team members and ensuring smooth workflow to support the team's operations.

Month-End Processes: Actively participate in the month-end and audit processes to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines.

Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and audited accounts.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Compile and submit timely and accurate tax and other regulatory submissions as required.

Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and working capital requirements effectively to optimize financial resources.

Budgeting and Performance Monitoring: Actively contribute in the preparation of the group budget and monitor performance against budget on an ongoing basis.

Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and other consultants on financial matters.

Internal Controls: Ensure effective internal controls are in place and suggest improvements as necessary to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated maturity and valuable on the job experience in a similar managerial and accounting role.

A proven track record of at least 5-7 years in progressively responsible financial roles, including managerial experience.

Strong Leadership: Strong leadership skills required, including the ability to lead, motivate, and delegate effectively, while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Candidates must inspire collaboration and teamwork.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning is essential for a Finance Manager. We are looking for candidates who have developed and managed budgets, forecasted financial performance, and identified areas for cost optimization.
