A market leader in global financial services next-generation multi-channel trading software, systems and liquidity services are working with GRS to recruit a Finance Team Leader to be based in their rapidly expanding Nicosia operation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in monthly reporting, ideally with supervisory experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monthly reporting for the entities that are allocated to this role.
  • Working with the business to understand the P&L fluctuations and providing commentary on variances.
  • Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Work closely with UK Finance team and provide cover for other team members.
  • Work closely with external auditors for the annual audit and support the preparation of the statutory accounts.
  • Support the budget process.
  • Preparation and submission of Danish VAT returns.
  • Supervision of 2 junior staff members.
  • Assist and supervise client withdrawals and deposits. Dealing with ad hoc Client queries.
  • Contribute to various projects, such as automation and improvement of current processes and reports.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Experience of the monthly reporting cycle, preferably 3 years plus.
  • Supervisory experience would be ideal as you will be managing 2 people.
  • Drive and enthusiasm - a genuine desire to assist the business in achieving an ambitious growth strategy.
  • Experience with general ledger and subsidiary ledger processing and related controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Practical accounting knowledge.
  • A positive attitude and good team-work skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good at relationship building and influencing/persuasion.
  • Conscientious with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver output.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and a commitment to improve the effectiveness of process and reporting across the Group.
