On behalf of our client, a multinational oil and gas company with offices in Nicosia, we are hiring a Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in external auditing and ACCA qualified. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of budgets, cash forecasting, monitoring and monthly variance analysis

Responsible for cost control of active AFEs and G&A expenses

Supports accounts payable functions regarding coding of expenditures

Preparation of periodic financial reports submitted to the Ministry of Energy

Handles monthly preparation of partner’s reports, billing and relevant funding requests

Reconciles accounts relevant to the above duties
-
Assists Cyprus Finance Manager in completing tasks as assigned

Assists in the external and internal audit process by preparing schedules and analyses in high risk areas, while addressing questions that arise during company audits

Investigates and prepares reports to answer inquiries from vendors, partners, governmental agencies and management

Assists with the Timewriting processes, PSC and JOA requirements

Assists with the monthly and quarterly financial closings

Trains, assists and advises other members of the finance team in activities related to the duties of this position

Liaising with external advisors, auditors, as well as internal stakeholders
-
Supports the implementation of global projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related area
-
Typically requires 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience within a publicly held company or a large privately held organization or has at least three years of experience as an external auditor

Preference to be qualified accountant, i.e., member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus

Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to work independently and to handle multiple tasks

Deadline and detail oriented
-
Excellent knowledge of various software packages, e.g., Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.

Excellent knowledge of English and Greek language both written and spoken
