A dynamic online marketing company are working with GRS to recruit a Financial Controller to join their expanding team in Limassol, Cyprus. We are seeking an experienced and technically strong individual with hands-on skills across Financial Control and Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with 8-10 years of post-qualified experience. The prime location of their Limassol office and rewarding culture makes this a great opportunity to join this growing international company as a Financial Controller.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the preparation and review of the group consolidation for all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with IFRS.

Preparation of various internal reports for management and the board.

Manage our day-to-day financial procedures.

Be the focal point and work closely with the external accounting team.

Developing and maintaining necessary accounting policies and systems and building an in-house accounting department as the company grows.

Overseeing and managing the company’s finance system and selecting appropriate software programs & processes.

Support business initiatives through financial analysis, reports, and recommendations.

Manage the preparation and review of all tax returns.

Evaluate new IFRS requirements and implement the necessary ones, including designing the process and the systems involved.

Prepare and maintain accounting memorandums and define internal controls to ensure appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS.

Provide technical accounting advice for special projects and assess their impact on the company’s financial results.

Provide other operational support to the General Accounting team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Full Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

A minimum of 8-10 years post-qualified experience.

Experience with SAP B1, CaseWare is desirable, and Blackline would be an advantage.

Experience with Public companies.

Knowledge of companies listed on London Stock Exchange AIM is an advantage.

Strong financial reporting experience and in-depth knowledge of financial statements / IFRS.

Experience of working in an international organization with entities across different locations.

Confident working effectively within a complex corporate structure.

Previous experience at Financial Controller level.

A ‘people person’ able to galvanize an experienced team of accountants on remote working environment.

Resilient and able to deal with change.

Strong with finance systems – experience with systems change is desirable.

Extremely detail oriented.
