Our client, one of the leaders in the Hospitality & Leisure sector in Malta, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their dynamic Finance team and be part of their latest expansion and upcoming project in Malta. Our client is well-established in the hospitality sector with its own branded Hotels and Spas, as well as a variety of established restaurants. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality service and possess qualification in accounting. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare monthly management statements in a timely manner for review of the company’s financial performance

Actively lead the preparation of the yearly budget and regular forecasts with other department Managers and the CFO
-
Prepare cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information for upcoming and existing projects or business opportunities

Act as the first line of contact for external auditors to ensure prompt and accurate preparation of statutory audits

Ensure timely monitoring of debtors, credit control, and effective reporting to the Group CFO and senior management.

Support accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables

Motivate and lead members of the finance team on a daily basis
CANDIDATE PROFILE

ACCA qualification or equivalent

Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word

Proven work experience in a similar position

Excellent communication and people skills
