GRS Recruitment are working with a well-established Shipping company in Limassol who are searching for a Financial Controller to join the team in Limassol. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and offer recommendations to management.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for financial activities.
  • Manage cash flow, monitor banking activities, and devise strategies to optimize cash resources.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and furnish necessary information for the annual audit process.
  •  Analyze financial performance metrics, detect trends, and suggest improvement measures.
  • Produce financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date of financial legislation, regulations, and best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA certified.
  • At least 5 years of working experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
