A well-established international software-as-a-service and lead generation platform aimed at financial service consumer lenders, are working with GRS to recruit a Front-End Developer for their newly established Cyprus office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a remote basis for a highly successful UK based business as they grow their EU operation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Refactor and optimise JavaScript codebase for the backend system.
  • Maintain and enhance front-end code for the company website.
  • Collaborate with the full-stack team to streamline and optimise workflows.
  • Initiate and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Independently execute tasks while aligning with the company's coding standards and best practices.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Vue.js. System currently works with Vue 2.
  • Strong experience with build tools, specifically Webpack and Vite. We would like to migrate from the former to the latter and have already done much of the work.
  • Optimisation should lead to a more modular codebase, faster compilation times, and precision loading of required modules only (lazy loading/chunking).
  • Recognition of repeating patterns that can be unified into reusable components.
  • Keen eye for code-smell and redundancies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Proven track record of independently delivering tested code with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with backend systems and the ability to refactor JavaScript code accordingly.
  • Monitor Sentry for any front-end bugs that may impact operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to think strategically about system improvements.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • You must be based in Cyprus.
