A Capital Management firm is looking for a Fund Marketer to join their Hedge Fund in London, Malta or Europe, Dubai or USA. The firm has been established for 6 years and manages 3 discretionary long short funds with impressive track records (currently sub-$500m AUM). The management team is made up of experienced industry professionals (the 2 key principals were previously partners at multi-billion-dollar hedge funds). They are looking for a someone with a strong investor network to climb aboard and take them further down the road to success. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Boost and take ownership of the entire marketing effort
  • Become familiar with the niche investment strategies and develop a thorough understanding of the sectors invested in and be able to articulate the reasons why an investor should allocate to the fund in a clear, fair and enthusiastic way
  • Identify and act as a key point of contact to prospective investors and consultants with a particular focus on private fund structures including CLO risk retention, credit opportunity funds and bank loan strategies
  • Build relationships with existing investors
  • Coordinate closely with the partners on all aspects of fund marketing strategy
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Must have extensive existing relationships with potential investors (ideally with significant coverage in the US - we have already made a lot of progress in Europe)
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of raising substantial capital for single manager hedge funds
  • 5 years+ in a relevant sales and fundraising role
  • A strong network of clients in the UK/EU and/or USA, with mandates including longer term investments in alternative credit strategies, ideally bank loan and CLO focused
  • Deep knowledge and experience within credit strategies
  • Strong communication skills and a strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
