GRS Recruitment are seeking a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the smooth and safe operation of our factory facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of various machinery, electrical equipment, and the factory building. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working with equipment, solving technical problems, and learning new systems.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of machinery, electrical equipment, and factory facilities.
- Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain the general condition and upkeep of the factory building and facilities.
- Learn and become familiar with the company's specific machinery, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and technical issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Follow all relevant health, safety, and operational procedures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Previous experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or a similar technical role.
- Good practical and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and identify problems effectively.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to operate and maintain specialised equipment.
- Reliable, responsible, and hands-on approach to work.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Technical qualifications or relevant vocational training will be considered an advantage.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €19,500 – €20,800 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability
