On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a hotel located in the heart of Paphos. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, a hands-on leadership style, and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining service quality, managing financial performance, and leading a team of dedicated hospitality professionals.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
Operational Management
  • Oversee all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and administration.
  • Ensure the smooth daily running of the hotel and maintain consistent service standards in line with the hotel’s brand and star rating. Owner’s Intention is to upgrade the Hotel to Four Star
  • Monitor and manage occupancy levels, reservations, and yield strategies to maximize revenue.
Financial Oversight
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor and control expenses, purchasing, and cost efficiency to ensure profitability.
  • Work closely with accounting and finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely payroll and invoicing.
  • Determines with the BOD the Pricing Policy of the hotel and negotiate contracts with Tour operators
Guest Relations
  • Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction through attention to detail, personalized service, and prompt resolution of issues.
  • Respond to guest feedback and online reviews in a professional and timely manner.
  • Implement initiatives to improve guest experience and encourage repeat business.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of hotel staff across all departments.
  • Foster a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, development, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement staff development plans.
Marketing & Sales
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams or agencies to promote the hotel through local and international channels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract leisure, business, and group travellers.
  • Build relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and local tourism authorities.
Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure the hotel complies with all local health, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections across departments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) as a General Manager or in a senior hotel management role, preferably in a 3- or 4-star property.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of hotel software (e.g., PMS, POS systems).
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek or other languages is a strong advantage.
  •  Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  •   Ability to work under pressure and adapt to seasonal fluctuations in business.
