On behalf of our client, a growing international aviation business operating across multiple jurisdictions, GRS recruitment is seeking a Group VP Treasury in Malta. A senior leadership opportunity to own treasury strategy across a fast-growing international aviation group. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution across liquidity management, aircraft financing, banking relationships, and treasury governance, while building out the function's processes, controls, and systems across multiple jurisdictions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the Group's international treasury and financing function across multiple jurisdictions, defining strategies aligned with financial and operational objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance on liquidity, financing, capital allocation, and financial risk to support growth and executive decision-making.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and Group-wide adoption of a Treasury Management System (TMS).
- Oversee global cash management, liquidity planning, and cash flow forecasting across all Group entities.
- Lead aircraft financing, debt facilities, refinancing initiatives, and capital structure optimisation.
- Negotiate financing arrangements and treasury services with banks and financial partners.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and advisors, acting as the primary treasury contact for financing and banking structures.
- Oversee banking administration, KYC processes, and treasury compliance matters.
- Prepare treasury reports, liquidity analysis, and financial insights for the Group CFO and senior management, and strengthen treasury policies, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Build, lead, and mentor the Group treasury team, including team structure, key hires, and scalable processes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 10+ years' treasury and corporate finance experience in a multinational environment.
- Strong expertise in liquidity management, financing, banking relationships, treasury operations, and risk management.
- Proven involvement in TMS implementation projects.
- Experience within fast-growing, multi-entity international organisations.
- Fluent English; additional European languages an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and treasury systems.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- ACT, CTP, ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification.
- Experience in aviation, aircraft leasing, logistics, transportation, or other complex international industries; aircraft financing experience highly desirable.
SALARY & BENEFITS
- €120,000 – €200,000 Gross Per Annum.
