GRS in collaboration with a Financial Services company based in Limassol, are seeking to recruit a Head of Business Development. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a senior/managerial Business Development role within the financial services or forex industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with a high calibre profile who wants to grow within the financial services sector.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive business development strategy
  • Leadership and management of the sales, and account management/technical support teams, fostering a team-based culture
  • Oversee the management of existing and new relationships with partners and clients. Personally, build relationships that result in support for existing and new programs
  • Be fully aware of the agreements between the Company and the Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents and inform Management in the cases that they are not being followed
  • Maintain a productive relationship with the Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents through the on-going communication with them by acting as a liaison between them and the Company departments
  • Ensure that the Heads of each Representative Office and/or Tied Agent stay motivated by addressing any concerns
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of any procedures / policies agreed between the Company and the Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents
  • Provide supervision and guidance for the business development team. Provide reporting regarding the overall performance of individuals and the department
  • Ensure team members meet targets and objectives consistently
  • Assist the IT Services Department in implementing new operational initiatives and restructuring of any Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents if needed
  • Assist with the preparation of procedure manuals for all key Company processes, including operational process, within and across functions as related to the Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents
  • Infuse the Company’s vision and core values to the Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents by communicating with them on a regular basis and being their number one contact for support and assistance
  • Monitor the performance of the different Representative Offices and/or Tied Agents and their agents and report to the relevant Company Departments and Senior Management
  • Prepare business plans for the targeted region on a quarterly basis
  • Communicate the various promotions, products, and marketing campaigns currently active.
  • Document business development activities
  • Contributing to overall organizational strategies and representing the priorities of the development function. Participate in promoting an organizational culture that values long-term strategic thinking, creativity/innovation, and high performance
  • Stay up to date with financial market events, news, and developments
  • Represent the Company externally at conferences, meetings, and speaking engagements, as required
  • At least 5 years of business development experience in FX industry, including demonstrated success in business-to-business sales, forging strategic partnerships that have resulted in significant increases in earned income
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization passionately to potential partners
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience in managing people and teams
  • Fluency in English – an additional language will be considered an advantage
  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Sound knowledge of FX industry and market trends
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, strong communication skills, and target orientated individual.
