On behalf of our client, a successful investment and brokerage company based in Nicosia, GRS Recruitment are seeking a Head of Compliance.  The successful candidate will have at least 6 years’ experience in a relevant role, a CySEC advanced certificate, and a deep understanding of the Regulatory Framework governing the investment services in Cyprus.  If you are interested in joining a fast growing and professional team, then this is the job for you!  We look forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia based Head of Compliance role.  
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Always up to date with regulatory requirements and guidelines (such as MIFID, MAR, AML, FATCA/CRS, ABC, Sanctions, GDPR, ICAAP) and updating company’s procedures and policies where necessary
  • Set up internal monitoring processes in line with the CMP
  • Responsibility to submit compliance reports
  • Review, draft and negotiate agreements and other legal documents
  • Give guidelines to senior management and different departments of the company
  • Provide relevant trainings on different regulatory subjects to the employees of the company
  • Communicate with competent authorities and auditors
  • Responsibility to prepare for the BOD and attend BOD together with company’s management
  • Take part in compliance tasks on group level
  • Perform any other duties applicable to the role
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University or postgraduate degree in Law, Finance or Economics
  • Cysec Advanced Certificate is a must
  • Good command of the English language (verbal and written). Fluency in Russian will be considered as an advantage
  • Experience working with different regulations such as: MIFID, MAR, AML, FATCA/CRS, ABC, Sanctions, GDPR
  • Professional experience for the similar profile for at least 6 years in full time occupation in CIF
  • In-depth knowledge of Cyprus and EU financial regulation
  • Able to perform under pressure
  • Attention to details and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
