MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a comprehensive and proactive strategy for the Data and Insight which ultimately embeds a thriving data culture and increased data maturity

Work with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to evolve the culture to become more data-led, evidence-based, including presenting to boards, committees

Design and implement the necessary data architecture and data warehousing solutions to provide consistent, clean, and integrated data.

Ensure the data quality and correctness within the organization and identify areas of improvement to improve the overall integrity of the company’s data.

Direct a programme of reporting automation, using Power BI or other appropriate software, to standardize and ease the speed and accuracy of reporting.

Oversee the programme of regular reporting on Divisional, team and programme metrics, goals and KPIs.

Oversee the implementation of SLAs/data agreements regarding alumni relations, fundraising and events data.

Oversee decisions regarding security and database access.

Oversee the direction, development, and implementation of Data Protection and GDPR strategy for the Division, providing the framework for individual teams to manage their relevant activities in relation to Data Protection considerations
CANDIDATE PROFILE

BSc. in Computer Science/statistics or any other numerical degree.

Minimum 7 years of experience in working on data lake or data warehouse systems, MPP systems.

Minimum of 5 years of working experience in data, insights, covering both technical and insights management elements

Candidates who are considered for this role should have demonstrated a high-level of Commercial Acumen,
-
Excellent IT skills including expert knowledge and experience of database structures, ETL Jobs (Informatica Cloud, ADF) , data modelling, Data designs, Analytics systems (preferably Tableau & PowerBI), SQL and advanced Excel skills.

Experience in Software engineering, data analysis, data integration, data migration, data quality, data governance and experienced in implementing ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions and BI reporting.

Cloud experience in Azure Data bricks, Azure data factory Pipelines, Azure function, Logic apps, Azure DevOps, and SQL.

Experience in Data Warehouse concepts like Star Schema, Snowflake, Dimension and Fact Tables.

Well versed in Data Modelling, OLAP, ETL, RDBMS and Data warehousing concepts.

Strong knowledge of Entity-Relationship concept, Facts, and dimensions tables, slowly changing dimensions and Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema).

Experience in ETL, DB Jenkins promote and CICD deployments.
-
Experience working in waterfall and Agile methods.
