MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
As Head of the Department
  • Be responsible for the subordinate’s development
  • Management and analysis for various regulations MiFID 2, EMIR, Commodities, Position Reporting, Best Execution, REFIT, SFTR etc.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures with regards to Reporting
  • Responsible for the oversight and timely regulatory reporting: MiFID II, EMIR, Transaction reporting, CySEC regulatory reporting, SFTR etc., support and development control
  • For all future regulatory reporting, work with the business to fully understand the new requirements with the aim of writing accurate and thorough procedures
  • Act as a stakeholder manager across Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Change Management and Information Technology system development
  • Be an active member of the New Product Committee, Investigating the potential impact of new business lines and new products
  • Manage and control operations/back-office function on a daily basis
  • Manage and control accuracy of static data maintenance and orderly record keeping within statutory retention periods
  • Control orderly processing and settlement of trades, including confirmation, allocations and administration in back-office system
  • Exercise control over corporate actions processing
  • Manage and control transfer of cash and/or securities to market intermediaries, banking institutions and other financial service providers, exchanges, clearing and settlement agencies, including procuring timely payment of business expenses related to the regulated activities
As Custody Officer (when required)
  • Oversee and control reconciliation of cash/securities balances and open positions between internal accounts and between internal accounts and external sources and reports of external financial service providers
  • Oversee and control the process of daily trading activity reports and statements to be generated in due course and submitted to clients in a timely manner, procure control of monthly fee/ invoice calculation and reporting
  • Oversee and control trade and transaction reporting obligations
  • Communicate with main brokers, custodians, counterparties, banks, etc. in the course of business relationship set-up, account opening/account closure, etc.
  • Be responsible for compliance with the Company`s obligations regarding safeguarding of client financial instruments and funds
  • Submit statistical reports as required by the CySEC and Central Bank of Cyprus
  • Cooperate with and provide information upon request to the Company’s internal and external auditors, Group internal and external auditors and the Compliance Department
  • Develop and implement internal procedures in relation to back-office operations
  • Any ad hoc project as and when required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Fluency in Russian and English, both written and verbal
  • Previous working experience in regulated investment companies or custodians. At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position (operations, back-office, capital markets/ financial instruments, etc.)
  • Practical understanding of financial and custodial (securities) settlements, strong knowledge of CIF regulatory requirements in the part related to the main duties
  • Holder of CySEC Advanced Certificate or readiness to pass the exam within half a year.
  • University degree in Economics, Technical Sciences or other form of education providing essential understanding in functioning of financial institutes, financial/investment products and services, securities, capital markets etc.
