GRS Recruitment is advertising on behalf of our client for a Permanent Head of Risk for Financial Institution in Nicosia. Our client is seeking an experienced individual with skills in Risk and with particular experience in a Head role ideally in the Banking sector
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementing and monitoring the bank’s risk exposure through strategy.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Risk Management Framework that complies with applicable laws and regulations.
- Overseeing on all risk related activities including Identifying risk, assessing risk, monitoring risk and the reporting of risk.
- Formulate procedures and controls to ensure compliance in accordance to all relevant laws in Cyprus.
- Working with various stakeholders to select, implement and audit the bank’s systems and processes of risk management, including risk evaluation, risk assessment, risk modelling and risk control.
- Developing and maintaining internal controls of all security digital and physical ensuring all operational risk procedures are being adhered to.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A relevant postgraduate degree in banking and finance or a related field preferably with certification in risk management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the banking sector or financial institution
- Ability to manage Operational Risk with experince in Information Security and physical security.
- Excellent understanding of banking processes and risk management systems and procedures.
- Able to work independently but also to be an excellent team player.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to anticipate and identify current and future risks.
- Fluency in Greek and English
- Strong Leadership skills along with high level communication and Interpersonal skills.
- A great Critical Thinking
- Excellent Qualitive and quantitative analytical skills
