Our client a prominent insurance company based in central Malta specializing in health, travel, and property insurance is recruiting an HR Manager to help shape the company’s future HR function. This is a strategic role more than a typical HR Manager role where you will be involved in employee retention, employee wellness, and happiness as well as training and development. The selected candidate will ideally have 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role, possibly with psychology or strategic HR and Talent Management experience.  MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop sourcing strategies for recruitment pipeline requirements.
  • Produce engaging adverts on social platforms and the ATS system to attract the best candidates.
  • Identify and engage unique and/or passive candidates through creative sourcing techniques.
  • Review shortlisted candidates to ensure they are of the right calibre before submission to the Hiring Managers.
  • Provide a first-class candidate experience to each candidate.
  • Liaise with the relevant function to hand over candidates for onboarding and monitor progress to start date.
  • Manage the company’s talent through ongoing development, assessing training needs, and providing accordingly
  • Actively engage in activities to promote employee happiness and wellness at work
  • Actively promote strategies for an inclusive and equal opportunities environment and employee diversity
  • Look at ways of becoming a ‘magnet’ employer in a highly competitive market and be known as a preferred employer in Malta.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A natural leader who possesses the ability to positively influence employees at all levels of the organization
  • An educational background in Psychology, relevant HR studies with a focus on Talent Management & employee wellness or similar
  • Experience with Training or Learning & Development favoured
  • Good knowledge of Maltese and /or European employment law
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the Insurance industry would be a bonus
