A successful pharmaceutical company is looking for an HR Manager to join their team in Nicosia.   The successful candidate will have detailed experience in building up an HR department and outstanding soft skills.  If you are looking to join a friendly company who is employee-oriented, then we look forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia based HR Manager role.  
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as first point of contact for company’s managers and employees for all issues regarding labor law and human resources.
  • Lead the HR team or shared resources to provide comprehensive HR support for the location line managers and employees.
  • Develop knowledge of the generic Group HR Procedures and local Employee Handbook and ensure consistent application and adherence by line managers and employees.
  • Lead the annual performance review, salary review and bonus scheme activities for location ensuring completion within published deadlines. Support line managers in planning and achievement of these deadlines.
  • Support line managers in the performance of all HR policies and procedures ensuring undertaken in compliance with the procedures laid down in the HR Procedures Manual.
  • Develop awareness of Office and Divisional requirements for Quality Management System, Health & Safety and Environmental policies, Country specific legal requirements and the company’s general ‘duty of care’ to all employees and ensure reflected in HR activities undertaken.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from the identification of requirements to participation in interviews.
  • Carry out operational and administrative HR work throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to exiting.
  • Be a sparring partner to our executive management and leadership team on talent identification as well as on training and development of their staff.
  • Drive the continuous development of HR standards and processes.
  • Maintain (recording and updating) the HR System. 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Academic background (HR Degree (BSc / MSc) or related field ) and at least 3 years experience in a Managerial HR Position or 5+ years in an HR Position
  • Previous experience of building an HR department from scratch and implementing all policies/strategies alongside C-level management. 
  • Ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong influence, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to review and assimilate technical information and translate into easy to understand but effective communications.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits and organizational development
  • Experience in local and international HR practices
  • Experience in working in Cyprus
  • Very good knowledge of Cypriot labor law, redundancies, terminations, grievances, necessary permits for foreigners, provident fund, payroll, payroll taxation, social contributions etc.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in working with C-level executives
  • Excellent command of Greek and English language in both written and spoken
  • Excellent MS office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
