GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading organization in the marine and energy services sector, headquartered in Limassol. Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator/Advisor to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HSE professional to play a key role in shaping and maintaining world-class HSE standards across high-profile projects in a dynamic, industrial setting.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all Company activities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE management systems, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Oversee site-specific risk assessments and promote a proactive safety culture throughout operations.
  • Coordinate and deliver internal HSE training programs for staff across all levels.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective/preventative measures and maintain comprehensive reporting records.
  • Act as the key liaison with external regulatory authorities, maintaining the company’s legal HSE obligations.
  • Organise emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained in emergency response protocols.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during project meetings, offering HSE solutions and improvements.
 
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Civil), Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE roles within construction, shipyards, or heavy industries, preferably in marine or energy sectors.
  • Holders of NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 certifications will be viewed favourably.
  • Additional training or certifications in Fire Safety, Process Safety, or related specialisations are considered an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cyprus HSE regulations and applicable international standards.
  • Demonstrated crisis management, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-risk industrial or construction environment.
