On behalf of our Client, a very well-established Global Shipmanagement Company, GRS Recruitment are seeking to recruit a HSQE Officer to be based in Limassol. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company's Integrated Management System (ISM, ISO and other applicable standards).
  • Support the development, review, and revision of company procedures, manuals, and HSQE documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, inspections, incidents, and non-conformities.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring Internal Audits and Vessel Inspections in accordance with the Company's Safety Management System.
  • Support preparations for external audits, including ISM, ISO, TMSA, SIRE 2.0, RightShip, Flag State, Port State Control, Class, and customer inspections.
  • Maintain tracking systems for observations, deficiencies, non-conformities, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of safety performance reports and management review presentations.
  • Monitor and update HSQE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of statutory, class, and trading certificates for assigned vessels.
  • Ensure HSQE records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable ISO requirements.
  • Support document control activities and maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Monitor certificate validity and coordinate renewals with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in the investigation and follow-up of incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental occurrences.
  • Support the promotion of safety culture and environmental awareness throughout the fleet and office.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental requirements, including MARPOL and related regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety campaigns, alerts, and lessons learned.
  • Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, and shipboard personnel regarding HSQE matters, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Technical, Operations, Purchasing, and Crewing Departments.
  • Communicate with Flag Administrations, Classification Societies, auditors, and other external stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters.
  • Participate in Management Review Meetings and HSQE Committee meetings.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in an HSQE, Marine, Technical, or Compliance role, preferably within a ship management company.
  • Good understanding of the ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and other relevant maritime regulations.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both shipboard and shore-based personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €26,000 – €32,500 Gross Per Annum.
  • Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
  • 13 salaries.
  • 100% office-based role.
  • Monday – Friday (08:00 – 17:00).
