Our client, a prominent player in the gaming industry, is seeking a dedicated Interim Senior People Generalist to join their team in Malta. This role will focus on improving HR & employee experience across multiple areas such as onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, payroll & benefits administration, learning & development, and aligning staff to business objectives. Additionally, the Senior People Generalist is an ambassador of a healthy company culture, and proactively partners with managers balancing both employee and business needs.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
HR Projects, Reporting & Audits
  • Own Performance Management and delivery of associated workshops/stakeholder sessions
  • Deliver on Talent & Succession planning initiatives in line with company strategy
  • Review and report on Engagement Survey outcomes, collaborate with departments on priorities for improvements and corresponding action plans
  • Partner with the wider HR team on compensation review and staff communications
  • Manage and customise site-reporting
  • Manager HRIS entries, review and update on Audits
  • Partner with peers, stakeholders and the wider HRBP team on other HR projects in line with an evolving business roadmap.
Employee Relations, Engagement & Development:
  • Foster open, continuous communication with employees to gather feedback and enable action planning for improvement
  • Manage employee relations cases effectively and respectfully, liaising with our employment lawyer where required while promoting positive relationships between organisational members and management
  • Show understanding and support to employees during challenging situations, addressing concerns with care
  • Assist employee development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Drive programs that enhance employee satisfaction, experience, and engagement within the entity
  • Invested and pro-actively seeking own self-development opportunities.
Payroll & Benefits
  • Support Payroll Management including review of rosters, input adjustments (OT, public holidays, unpaid, etc.) and liaise with Management where necessary
  • Assist with Absence Management
  • Liaise on payroll related benefits promptly, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ensure payroll processing adheres to legal requirements and company policies
  • Maintain the confidentiality of payroll and sensitive employee information
  • Identify and address payroll discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate processing and reporting.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven working experience (3+ years) as HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or similar capacity in a and fast-paced context
  • Degree-qualified in an associated domain
  • Solid HR background both strategic and operational
  • Benefits setup and administration experience
  • Fluent English Level required
  • Effective project management and communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Customer driven and quality focus
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Flexible with work schedule and assignments, adaptable with change
  • Deep understanding of Maltese Employment Law
  • Pro-active attitude and constantly strive to improve effectiveness

  • Provisional flexible working pattern +/-30min within the hours of 8.30am-5.30pm incl. 1 hour rest
