Our client, a global Accounting & Advisory firm is looking for an Internal Audit Analyst to join their team in Malta. You will be responsible for conducting internal audit engagements, for the firm’s client portfolio of outsourced and co-sourced internal audit functions. This is a role in a modern and dynamic environment which will entail the carrying out of internal audit activities expected by the relevant framework and guidance. The successful applicant will have at least a years’ experience within Internal Audit and be in the process of obtaining CIA certification. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in the compilation of internal audit plans and in the conduct of the relevant internal audit engagements assisting the Consultant assigned on the respective engagement/s.
  • Provide input towards the compilation of recommendations for improvements to internal controls and provide support towards the compilation of internal audit reports.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews of financial, operational, or regulatory compliance deficiencies noted during audits.
  • Actively interfaces with clients to ensure smooth and efficient processes and optimum use of resources and technology.
  • Conduct internal audits, corporate governance reviews and enterprise risk assessment projects.
  • Prepare audit working papers in accordance with firm’s methodology and supports the presentation of observations to clients
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Strong soft skills, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving results, both as an individual contributor and from a managerial perspective, optimising on the team's reporting lines and relationship. 
  • A commitment to quality and high service levels to the client functions, organs and individuals receiving the service.
  • Strong team-work skills with a view of supporting team members and effectively meeting exigencies of clients accordingly.
  • Of the highest integrity, independent and able to take initiative, works well with minimum supervision and under pressure, commits to deadlines and is a team-player.
  • Approachable, self-disciplined, objective, and forward-looking.
  • Is close to obtaining an ACCA or ACA Qualification or a fully qualified accountant

  • You are in the process of obtaining a CIA qualification
  • You have a minimum of 1 years of Internal Audit experience.
