MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the IT Engineering of One Learn Global Developments and integrations

Act as Tier 3 support directly to the technical support team for advanced issues

Work closely with the product development team on new developments for existing and new products.

Provide regular cross training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 team members

Provide IT recommendations to solve business problems

Provide long term upgrade planning to maintain software and hardware at a stable, supportable state
-
Provide ongoing monitor and response for systems using monitoring and alerting tools
-
Provide support and promote the use of virtualisation environments to reduce physical hardware
-
Assist in the long-term roadmap development for the IT engineering department
-
Communicate on a regular basis with the product development team around projects and issues
-
Ensure project delivery
-
Ensure ongoing compliance and assisting in the renewal process for support, maintenance and licenses
-
Ensure that supporting services are working appropriately (such as DHCP, DNS, data replication, etc.).

Ensure ongoing disaster recovery capability
-
Suggest and implement global architectural upgrades and changes
-
Generate and maintain accurate and timely documentation of the platform

Promote standardisation using existing ITIL based processes including Change Management to further the goals of the global department

Manage technical projects using established project management methodologies

Document architecture and operations guide

Document system dependencies for major upgrades
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Minimum of 10 years previous working experience in Information Technology and IT Networking
-
Minimum of 5 years previous working experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Fluency in English, both verbal and written

Good understanding and experience in cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design, and implementations

Extensive knowledge of Linux Professional Institute Certification 1 (LPIC-1) OR Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Extensive knowledge of Linux Professional Institute Certification 1 (LPIC-2) OR Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Ability to work in a fast pack environment
