This role requires deep technical expertise in systems administration, network management, and cyber security. As the most technically proficient member of the team, the ideal candidate will act as a mentor to other IT staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. They will serve as the primary point of reference for complex technical matters and be the go-to person for infrastructure and security-related issues. The IT Infrastructure & Security Manager will play a key role in ensuring high availability of IT services, and providing hands-on technical support across all infrastructure and security domains. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
  • Lead and manage the infrastructure and cyber security operations, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and performant.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimise network and server infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and virtual environments.
  • Implement and enforce cyber security policies, procedures, and controls in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat analysis to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and DLP systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution.
  • Collaborate with software development and support teams to ensure secure integration and deployment of applications.
  • Active participate in Technical Architecture and security decision processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and security protocols.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance the security posture.
  • Lead the implementation of projects related to Infrastructure & Security.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives related to IT infrastructure and cyber security.
  • Any other task that may be assigned to by the Director - Technology or Chief Officer - Technology.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field (MQF level 6 or equivalent). Lower qualifications and/or Certifications will be considered if accompanied by relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure and cyber security roles, with hands-on experience in managing enterprise systems and networks.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Proficiency in security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) is an asset.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Relevant network certifications such as CCNA or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.

  • Demonstrates advanced analytical thinking, with a creative and innovative approach to overcoming complex technical challenges.
