Our client, a leading hospitality group is looking for a talented IT Manager to join their team in Qawra, Malta. You will report to the Group Head of IT and Hotel General manager and be responsible for the overall IT infrastructure, network environment and other hotel technologies. In addition, you will be required to handle multiple concurrent demands and be driven by customer satisfaction as well as technical excellence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT managerial role (candidates with experience in the hospitality sector will be preferred). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overall responsible for the smooth running of all IT operations, systems, infrastructure, DR, backups and support services.
  • Manage and assist in providing technical support across different departments in line with the company IT Service Management standards.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively with a hands-on approach.
  • Manage IT hardware procurement, involved in recommendations and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of all hotel systems including but not limited to POS, VOIP, TV, Wi Fi, guests’ check in kiosks and access control.
  • Interact with customers and staff at all levels.
  • Support rollouts of new applications.
  • Maintains and updates systems documentation.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery and systems backups
  • Maintains and updates the IT software, hardware and security inventories.
  • Eager to learn new technologies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar IT managerial role. Candidates with experience in the hospitality sector will be preferred.
  • Committed to deliver and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Actively participates in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.    Demonstrates service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards.
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Hold a degree in IT or equivalent including vendor-specific certifications such as MCSE and CCNA
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft productivity suite (Windows, Office365) and excellent IT skills needed to efficiently execute a management position.
  • Excellent People skills and ability to manage a small team.
