An international company is looking for an IT Operations Officer to provide first level IT Support to the company’s Headquarters in Malta. You will assist the Head of IT in the sourcing of suppliers and liaise with all departments to ensure quality and constant IT support. The perfect candidate will have attained a Diploma in IT at MQF Level 5 and have 2 years’ experience in a similar role.   • Identify improvements required in end-to-end Business Processes adopted by the company, by mapping out Business Processes, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and proposing improvements to management
  • Manage the implementation of Business Process and IT projects which have been assigned to him/her by management, by:
    • understanding the goals of the processes or project in line with company objectives, and user needs
    • Identifying tools and resources in the market which are suitable for the implementation of the process.
    • Identifying suitable service providers, and evaluating and appointing such service providers
    • Negotiating and concluding agreements with providers
    • Ensuring that projects are concluded within the agreed budget
    • Ensuring that company requirements are clearly communicated to providers
    • Monitoring the performance of providers, and taking adequate action over poor performance
    • Setting up project plans with clearly communicated deliverables and milestones
    • Using suitable quality tools to track all phases of the assigned projects so as to ensure that no information is lost
  •  Maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders during all phases of the assigned projects
  • Taking overall responsibility to ensure satisfactory quality of the final delivered products and completion of assigned projects in time
  • Ensuring that the product/process is in compliance with any applicable legislation
  • Ensuring that staff are trained in the use of the products and his/her responsibility
  • Continuing to support the departments in the use of products which fall under his/her responsibility
  • Any other responsibility, commensurate with candidate’s experience and skillset, as determined from time to time by the Head of IT.
  • Diploma in IT at MQF Level 5 (Degree preferred)
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365
  • Have a strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English.
  • Have a sound understanding of common business processes and practices.
  • A methodical and analytical thinker, able to work under pressure.
  • Possess the ability to identify incorrect methods of operations and business processes and suggest improvements.
  • Competent to attend to ICT Systems Quality
  • Competent in managing changes in ICT System
