On behalf of our Client a well-established IT Services provider is working with GRS to recruit a IT Support Technician to join their well-established team in Paphos. The successful candidate will provide 1st. 2nd and 3rd line technical support to Clients. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks and applications
  • Continuously monitor and maintain systems and networks
  • Respond to technical support calls from other staff members or clients and communicate how to resolve issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system and network problems, software faults or hardware complications
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Keep a record of issues, along with solutions, to refer back to in future instances
  • Must be a self-starter and able to self-manage a demanding list of priorities as the go-to person in the region for expert IT service and project execution
  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support whilst utilising excellent customer service skills
  • Responsible for support calls within the designated business locations, ensuring they are resolved in line with SLA's
  • Ensuring issues are reported immediately through the correct channels
  • Act as primary respondent to IT incidents ensuring stakeholders are informed and correct procedures followed.
  • Investigating improvements and better ways of working for the business
  • Balancing business with security, ensuring risk management is still valid and the business is aware of emerging and evolving risks
  • Ensuring daily checks are completed and preventative maintenance is carried out
  • Work as a key team member to fulfil support projects and influence/knowledge share proactively amongst the team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer engineering
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience as a technical support engineer
  • Knowledge of API and IP-based protocols
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, WAN Technologies, VLAN's and DHCP
  • Good understanding of MS technology stack: Office 365, Windows 10+, Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory, Azure AD
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
