Our Client a leading Bank who’s global experience and local knowledge helps their client’s control their Imports / exports, improve cash flow and manage risks are seeking an experienced IT System Specialist for their Malta based team. The successful candidate will maintain and support critical banking software systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations. They will configure, deploy, and support these systems across various environments, while also contributing to IT projects and policy alignment with industry standards. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining the core Banking system, ETL processes, databases, scripting tools, software updates and patches

Ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability and performance by maintaining and monitoring systems

Performing installations, upgrades, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and resource optimization of the Bank's IT infrastructure

Recognising and resolving issues impacting the Bank's IT operations

Liaising and escalating issues with third-party service providers
-
Monitoring SLA to ensure adherence by supplier to obligations

Maintaining and testing the Bank's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the Bank's infrastructure

Actively participating in the decision process for the introduction of new IT systems and other infrastructure-related projects

Deploying cybersecurity policies throughout the organisation

Managing the Bank's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software applications, virtualised environments, back-up solutions, networking and security devices, end-user devices and cloud solutions

Driving IT operations best practices

Maintaining updated documentation related to the Bank's infrastructure
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Be hard working, responsible, organised and an autonomous IT infrastructure specialist
-
Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in supporting and maintaining an IT infrastructure, preferably within the financial services industry in Malta, with experience on core banking systems, ETL, databases and scriptin

Possess a bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent
-
Have knowledge and experience of Cloud platforms and Cloud architectures

Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, services and products including Active Directory, Azure AD, Domain controllers and Microsoft 365
-
Have strong knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation

Place a strong emphasis on cybersecurity

Be an excellent communicator, analytical and organised

Possess professional certifications. Certification in any of the above technologies will be considered an asset
