A leading software company based in Malta is looking for an experienced IT Team Lead to coach & mentor a tech team in Malta. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working on web projects in teams of at least 4 people using ASP.NET Web API or MVC and be proficient in C#. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Mentor, lead and grow your software development team.
  • Lead the architecture design.
  • Act as a clear point of contact for internal teams and clients.
  • Plan and manage weekly sprints and monthly releases.
  • Work autonomously and help support other software developers.
  • Review team deliverables ensuring highest quality standards are kept – focusing on things like reusability, reliability, scalability, and testability of code.
  • Ensure tasks are adequately defined, prioritized, and assigned to team members.
  • Identify business and technical risks and communicate them accordingly.
  • Assist with development tasks from a backlog in tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Clear leadership skills with a personable approach.
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on web projects in teams of at least 4 people.
  • At least 5 years of experience in web development using ASP.NET Web API or MVC.
  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
  • Knowledge of Angular / AngularJS would be considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of database paradigms (SQL).
  • Knowledge of Azure services and concepts such as event-based messaging, distributed caches and related technologies is considered an asset.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
