On behalf of our client, Emergo Wealth Ltd, GRS are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their team in Nicosia, Cyprus. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Bank reconciliation and payment requests
  • Issue and post invoices on the accounting system and keep records up to date
  • Responsible for the book-keeping (sales, purchases, nominal ledgers, etc.) and providing assistance in the audit of the fund entities, fund Manager (CIF)ensuring on-time tax and statutory filing
  • Assisting the preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts, periodic and regulatory reports for the fund entities and the fund manager as required by CySEC, CBC and/or Companies’ Registrar
  • Preparation of VAT services & returns
  • Liaising with Custodian, banks, auditors and clients ensuring smooth business operations
  • Ensuring that pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant and the Financial Controller
  • Working in a team and supporting supervisors in servicing clients, assisting with day-to-day requests and responding to their needs.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Will ideally hold a relevant academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field
  • Previous working experience will be considered an advantage
  • Working towards a relevant accounting qualification including the ACCA/ACA/CPA will be considered a plus, but not a prerequisite
  • Fluency in Greek & English is a must
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in a Finance team is highly desirable
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess great attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starting
  • Must be focused and deadline driven
