Our client, a leading Payment Solutions company based in Nicosia, is seeking a dedicated Junior DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, and operation of cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Assist in deploying and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure under guidance
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or DroneCI
- Develop and maintain basic automation scripts (e.g., Python, Go, Groovy, Bash)
- Work with containerized applications using Docker
- Assist with Kubernetes deployments and basic cluster operations
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Assist with configuration management using tools such as Ansible or Puppet
- Perform basic Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with development and IT teams following SDLC best practices
- Document configurations, procedures, and automation workflows
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Linux: Basic system administration and command-line usage
- Basic knowledge of Python, Go, or Groovy
- Evidence of simple automation (projects, labs, GitHub repositories, coursework)
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts
- Familiarity with SCM tools (e.g., Git) and SDLC processes
- Exposure to Jenkins, DroneCI, or similar automation tools
- Basic understanding of AWS services and common cloud architectures
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, security groups)
- Docker fundamentals
- Basic Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, deployments)
- Introductory knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Basic familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills in English and Greek
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to take guidance and feedback
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar entry-level certification is an advantage
- Personal labs, GitHub repositories, or university projects related to DevOps or cloud would be considered as an advantage
- Exposure to monitoring or logging tools would be considered a plus
