Our client is an international Financial and Corporate Services company providing Accounting, Audit, Tax, Financial, and Advisory Services have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Reporting Specialist to support the technical team in Malta. To be the chosen candidate for this role you would ideally have an accounting education background (or similar), be familiar with IFRS, and be interested in ESG (the future of EU legislation). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Researching financial reporting and ESG matters – under our mentoring and guidance, you will be expected to achieve considerable knowledge within the first 12 months.

Assisting in the fieldwork and preparation of advisory reports.

Assisting with the drafting and review of financial statements.

Assisting in the preparation and presentation of slides, as well as (eventually) with the delivery of lectures.

Assisting in the drafting and writing of technical articles.

Assistance with other exciting technical projects in the pipeline, including being an important part of our ESG reporting team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Currently in the process of achieving an accounting degree or similar.

A flair for financial reporting, ESG, and reading in general as there will be a lot of research.

Excellent communication and presentation skills

The ability to use key IT applications with ease – most notably MS Excel and PowerPoint.
