Our client is a regional energy organization with an international footprint and offices across Europe. They are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate or an early-career attorney looking to develop their legal expertise in a supportive environment.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing legal matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as sales contracts, service and loan agreements, memoranda, board and committee minutes, etc.
  • Assist senior lawyers in the preparation of legal documents.
  • Assist senior KYC officers in the preparation of KYC files.
  • Participate in team meetings, effectively communicating legal concepts and options.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and correspondence, including maintaining different registries and databases.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting the company’s practice areas.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A minimum of a BA degree from a distinguished law school, preferably, with an English Law background.
  • Strong command of the English language, with excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear, practical advice.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and open to IT technologies.
  • A Cyprus Bar License would be considered an advantage.
  • A MA degree, or LLM from a distinguished law school, would be considered an advantage.
  • Previous internship or clerkship experience in a legal setting is a plus.
