A market leader in global financial services next-generation multi-channel trading software, systems and liquidity services are working with GRS to recruit a Junior Regulatory Reporting Analyst to be based in their rapidly expanding Nicosia operation. The successful candidate will be a university graduate with a minimum of 1 year of analytical experience in Financial Services. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leverage your existing knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments, and regulations to independently identify and resolve reporting issues
  • Perform daily regulatory reporting submissions with a relentless focus on quality
  • Perform daily monitoring, exception management and conduct root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with other support functions to remediate issues
  • Resolve problems independently and exercise judgement when elevating material issues
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Recommend process improvements, and implement solutions to improve data quality, reporting accuracy and overall efficiency
  • Assist in the creation of workflow procedures, maintaining comprehensive documentation
  • Serve as a resource to the department and willingly share expertise
  • Responsible for Transaction Reporting BAU Operations, Transaction monitoring, exception management and root cause analysis as well as remediation projects for various regulations such as EMIR, MIFID, MAR regulatory regimes.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A graduate with at least a year’s experience within the Financial Services.
  • Exposure to trading, financial instruments, and the Trade Life Cycle.
  • Strong interest in technology and comfortable with technical language.
  • Analytical with an inquisitive mindset.
  • An understanding of data analysis, data interrogation and data mapping would be a bonus.
  • A problem solver with the ability to pick up new skills and tasks quickly.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimum supervision.
  • Some exposure to trading or EMIR / MIFID Regulatory frameworks.
  • Keen to develop technical knowledge and experience in regulatory reporting and the wider global regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Professional, reliable and conscientious.
