A leading law firm who offer a boutique approach are looking for a fully qualified Lawyer to join their team in Malta. You will report to the Head of Legal and be required to give sound advice and prepare contracts across a range of sectors. The perfect candidate will have obtained the Warrant in Malta and have a degree in Law. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft and review various contracts mainly based on Maltese company law, civil law and employment law.

Handle complex and material corporate, project and structured finance transactions.

Liaise with regulators including the Tax Authorities, Registrar of companies and the MFSA where necessary.

Draft and implement documents in relation to corporate governance and compliance obligations.

Ensure that requests from clients and colleagues are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist clients in various corporate, employment, tax, general business law needs or other legal aspects relating to their operations in or through Malta.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Degree in Law (LL.D. / M.Adv.) from the University of Malta.

Warrant to exercise the legal profession in Malta.

Master’s Degree in law with a focus on corporate and commercial law. Candidates with experience in aviation and shipping will be given preference.

Pro-active approach and able to work on own initiative and under pressure.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent spoken and written English.
