Malta’s largest Law firm which offers a boutique approach to their clients is looking for a Lawyer to join their team of talented Lawyers in Malta. You will be the main point of contact for clients, and external advisors, focusing mainly on Corporate and Commercial legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Law, the ability to practice in Malta and around 3 years post qualified experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the primary point of contact with clients, foreign legal counsel, external advisors, banks, regulatory and governmental organisations, and other parties
  • Handle legal and corporate matters for clients and their business
  • Focus on maintaining client relationships and attracting new clients
  • Stay ahead of legal developments for the areas currently within the department’s portfolios and re-structuring any process or procedure together with the Senior Manager to continuously push for excellence
  • Ensure standards of quality are met by the team by ensuring the team is working in line with company’s mission statement which highlights service, knowledge, excellence and quality
  • Work actively on client files, and ensuring that deadlines are duly met
  • Conduct timely and precise legal research into specific areas of Law
  • Perform key roles, including directorships as may be required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Law Degree and the ability to practice law in Malta
  • 3 years post graduate experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Office, CRM, database and information systems
  • Pro-active approach
  • Experience in dealing with foreign clients & counterparts
  • Risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Mature and independent
