GRS Recruitment are supporting a Global Brand with a new location in Nicosia who are looking to recruit a Legal Affairs Specialist to join the team. The successful candidate will contribute with the in-house legal team in keeping Group companies’ activities in strict compliance with legislation in force. As well to provide assistance and support to legal staff in gathering information, conducting research and preparing opinions and legal documents. For this role you will also need to investigate facts that are well-established and not in question. Handles situations where directly applicable precedents exist and where the matter in question typically does not have a major impact on the organization. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Draft, review and edit contracts, legal correspondences and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate and follow up with external legal counsel (local and international) in order to ensure provision of timely and proper legal services to the group and to implement that advice in transaction documents.
  • Give legal advice particularly with respect to contracts, commercial law, labor law, land use and intellectual property.
  • Draft employees’ written warnings and termination notices.
  • Organize and maintain reference documents in paper and/ or electronic filing system.
  • Conduct legal research and check legislation points.
  • Coordinate and ensure Trademarks protection.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the department.
  • Assist other departments in the drafting of Business letters.
  • Provide research, factual information, counsel, and guidance on basic legal questions or issues, usually in support of more senior legal advisors.
  • Assist in analysis of issues to identify legal problems.
  • Prepare memoranda and initial drafts of legal documents. Examines documents for legal sufficiency.
  • Receive assignments from senior legal advisors.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Educated to degree level or the equivalent is a must for this role.
  • Solid years of experience within a similar role.
  • Fluent in English, Arabic and French is an asset.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of international laws.
  • Excellent attention to details.
