Our client, one of the leading Advisory firms in Malta that forms part of one of the top global accounting and advisory associations operating in over 90 countries are working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Legal Associate to join their growing team within their Advisory Department. For this role, the candidate will ideally have a Master of Advocacy degree or equivalent and 1 years’ experience in a similar role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the provision of corporate services to clients, including aiding with submission of statutory filings, company secretarial services such as the keeping of minutes and registers, and other ancillary activities as may be directed by the Manager from time to time.
  • Collect due diligence documentation and prepare engagement letters.
  • Assist with administrative tasks relating to corporate structures and regulatory license applications, including aiding the Management Team.
  • Keep abreast and advise of regulatory developments in the corporate and financial services field.
  • Carry out any other ad hoc assignments related to specific regulatory and supervisory issues that may arise from time to time and to report on the outcome of such assignments as may be appropriate and necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with internal legal, compliance, accounting and tax departments as may be required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Master of Advocacy degree or equivalent.
  • A motivated team-player.
  • Presentation and report writing skills.
  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision and within changing environments.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Maltese and English
