GRS is seeking to recruit a Lawyer with experience in Litigation Civil and Commercial Law for one of the most established law firms in Malta, with more than 50 years’ experience within legal advisory in all industries. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 4 years’ previous experience in a similar role and be warranted under Maltese law. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Take an active participation in handling complex disputes across a range of industries and disciplines including, civil and commercial law disputes as well as representing clients before the Maltese Courts or in Arbitration.

Assist in the negotiation and disciplines including, civil and commercial law disputes

Provide legal advisory services to the clients of the firm on aspects of civil and commercial law.

Assist with drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements
-
Providing legal services in connection with high profile transactions for developers, contractors, subcontractors, and leading consultants both locally and internationally

Liaise with professional advisors and regulatory bodies

Conduct legal research on various points of law and providing consolidated legal opinions on queries

Perform other duties as assigned or requested
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum of 3 – 4 years’ previous experience in a similar role will be given preference

Warranted under Maltese Law

Detailed understanding of Maltese Civil and Commercial and employment Law
-
Previously acted on behalf of clients before the Maltese Courts
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Maltese and English

Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
