On behalf of our client, GRS are recruiting a Litigation Lawyer to work in-house for a leading service provider company based in Limassol. The successful candidate must have proven experience in with Civil Litigation matters and ability to advise management in regards to client complaints.   • Advise clients concerning client complaints, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses
  • Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents
  • Present and summarize cases to stakeholders
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
  • Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
  • Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit
  • Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation
  • Study Constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases
  • Prepare and draft legal documents
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes
  • Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings
  • Supervise legal assistants
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • Degree in Law or any other relevant field 
  • At least 3 years’ experience, preferably in Criminal and/or Civil Litigation, including several years at a large law firm or a boutique law firm
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively within a complex global group with a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment.
  • English must be impeccable and must be to a highly professional standard
  • General commercial law experience. Experience in high-tech, on-line/web platforms, software, information technology, data privacy, Fin-tech, banking, e-money and similar fields, are a significant plus
  • Self-driven and highly motivated to contribute to the success of the Group, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including management of workload and proactive and creative thinking
  • Solution oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
