GRS Recruitment are advertising on behalf of a well-established brand in Limassol who is looking for a talented Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 3–4+ years of experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and ideally progress towards an ACCA or ACA qualification. Working within an international environment, you will gain exposure to group accounting, management accounts, financial reporting, VAT, corporate tax, month-end close and audit, while working closely with senior finance professionals across the business. As Management Accountant , you will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group, while supporting the ongoing development of accounting processes and controls.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing key elements of the Group month-end closing process
- Preparing journals and completing balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including analysis and commentary
- Conducting analytical reviews, transaction analysis, balance sheet substantiation, revenue analysis and cost analysis
- Supporting the financial management and controllership of assigned Group legal entities
- Assisting with VAT and Corporate Tax filings and reporting obligations
- Supporting the annual external audits of Group companies
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS, accounting standards, tax legislation and financial regulations
- Helping to improve accounting processes, controls and financial reporting procedures
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing review of Group finance policies and procedures
- Participating in internal finance and business projects, helping to coordinate project plans, deliverables and deadlines
- Providing ad hoc financial support to the Head of Department and Group Financial Controller
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- A minimum of 3–4 years’ professional accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent analytical and financial reconciliation skills
- Experience working to tight month-end and reporting deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a finance team
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly Desirable
- Currently studying towards, or part-qualified in, ACCA or ACA
- Experience using SAP S/4HANA
