GRS Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading international organisation within the Oil & Gas and Energy sector, currently seeking a Marine Advisor to join an upcoming project in Cyprus. This is an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative project, with the position offered on a temporary contract basis for approximately 12–24 months. The successful candidate must speak fluent Greek & English with a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Nautical Science, or equivalent. Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Engineer qualification is preferred. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and coordinate marine operations supporting offshore activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution in compliance with Company standards, international regulations, and HSE requirements.

Manage interfaces with marine contractors, vessel operators, port authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and service delivery.

Support marine logistics planning, vessel scheduling, contractor performance monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives.

Ensure compliance with marine assurance requirements, risk management processes, emergency response procedures, and operational integrity standards.

Promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, and environmental sustainability within marine operations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Nautical Science, or equivalent. Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Engineer qualification is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in marine operations, marine logistics, vessel management, or offshore support activities, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.

Good knowledge of offshore marine operations, vessel chartering, marine contracts, IMO regulations, and international maritime standards.

Experience in marine assurance activities, vessel suitability assessments, contractor management, and marine risk assessments.

Experience with offshore support vessels, DP operations, and floating assets (FPSO, FSO, FLNG) is preferred.

Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
