GRS are working with an international Shipmanagement organisation, seeking to recruit a Marine Operation coordinator for their offices in Limassol. The role includes a combination of operations, office administration, cost controlling and vessel coordination. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who will be expected to act independently after the training period. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate VISA and travel documents when required for the superintendents or crew members
  • Preparing the HSE reports collecting the data from the ship managers on a monthly basis
  • Monitoring and supervising the daily activities of the assigned vessels
  • Daily Reports, Crew Rotation, Contracts, Certificates Reports (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually)
  • Preparation of Technical and ISO 9001 documents
  • Keep correspondence with Charterers, Suppliers, Agents, Insurers, Authorities, Contractors, Surveyors, Brokers
  • Purchase Orders: manage the Requisitions received from the vessels, getting the required quotations
  • Issuing the relevant purchasing order according to the company policy.
  • Verify that the invoices are in compliance with the purchasing order or contract then submitting for approval to the Operation Director, collecting the delivery note when the good or the service has been received on board
  • Cost control: keep update the cost control records according to the company procedures
  • Keep update the vendor list and all records according to Iso 9001 and safety company procedures
  • Monitoring that the manning agent is properly providing the crew members according to the company policy
  • To provide assistance where needed on an ad hoc basis as required by the company
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Higher education diploma or degree in Accounting, Shipping or similar
  • Previous experience could be considered an advantage
  • English fluency is a must
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility on working hours as they might be irregular
