On behalf of our client, an Insurance Group in Malta, GRS Recruitment are seeking for a Motor Assessor to join the inhouse motor vehicle assessor team. In this role, you will assess vehicle damage, determine appropriate repair methods and costs, and help ensure motor claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and fairly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an automotive, vehicle repair, estimating, or motor claims background who wants to build a long-term career within insurance and vehicle assessment
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and assess damaged vehicles following motor accidents.
- Determine repair requirements and estimate repair costs.
- Review repair quotations and supporting documentation.
- Assess vehicle values and identify potential total loss cases.
- Liaise with customers, repairers, claims handlers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure claims are progressed within agreed service standards.
- Maintain accurate assessment reports and records.
- Escalate complex or unusual cases to Senior Motor Assessors when required.
- Contribute to delivering consistent, fair, and cost-eective claims outcomes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Technical knowledge of vehicle repairs, vehicle construction, or automotive technology.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience within vehicle repair, estimating, motor engineering, or motor claims.
- Familiarity with vehicle damage assessment systems and repair methodologies.
- Qualifications in automotive engineering, motor vehicle technology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of motor insurance and claims processes.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €35,000 – €45,000 Gross Per Annum.
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
