GRS Recruitment are working with a new brand who are searching for a skilled and proactive MT5 Administrator to join our growing Forex and Fintech team in Limassol, Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and ongoing support of our MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform, ensuring its stability, performance, security, and availability. This is a critical operational role within a fast-paced, international trading environment, requiring 24/7 operational coverage, including participation in a rotating shift schedule and on-call support as required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of MT5 infrastructure, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to respond quickly to technical incidents affecting trading operations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer, configure, and maintain the MetaTrader 5 trading platform, including trade servers, access permissions, groups, symbols, trading conditions, and account settings.
- Monitor platform performance, server availability, connectivity, and overall system stability.
- Manage user accounts, trading groups, symbol configurations, commissions, swaps, margin settings, and leverage in accordance with approved business requirements.
- Coordinate platform configuration changes, updates, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Support the integration of MT5 with CRM systems, liquidity providers, bridges, payment systems, and other third-party solutions.
- Provide round-the-clock operational support through a rotating shift schedule and on-call arrangements.
- Monitor trading infrastructure and respond promptly to platform incidents, outages, latency issues, and connectivity problems.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting client trading activity, order execution, pricing, and platform access.
- Escalate critical incidents to relevant internal teams, technology providers, liquidity providers, and external vendors.
- Maintain clear incident logs, handover notes, and operational documentation to ensure continuity across shifts.
- Monitor connections between MT5, liquidity providers, price feeds, and trading bridges.
- Investigate pricing discrepancies, execution issues, rejected orders, and other trading-related technical incidents.
- Assist with trade-server configuration, symbol mapping, execution settings, and liquidity routing where applicable.
- Support the investigation of trade-related queries in collaboration with the Dealing, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Support teams.
- Assist with platform testing and verification following configuration changes or technical updates.
- Monitor server resources, application logs, system alerts, and performance metrics.
- Work with IT and infrastructure teams to maintain reliable server environments, network connectivity, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Follow security best practices for administrative access, credentials, permissions, and sensitive trading infrastructure.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to platform reliability and operational efficiency.
- Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, system changes, maintenance activities, and platform configurations.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates on platform performance and significant incidents.
- Collaborate with IT, Dealing, Risk, Compliance, Customer Support, and third-party technology providers.
- Contribute to the development of internal procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Previous experience administering or supporting the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform, preferably within a Forex broker or financial services environment.
- Good understanding of MT5 Manager and Administrator tools and associated trading platform configurations.
- Knowledge of Forex trading operations, including leverage, margin, swaps, commissions, symbols, and order execution.
- Familiarity with liquidity providers, trading bridges, price feeds, and CRM integrations.
- Experience with Windows Server environments, networking, server monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyse logs, identify root causes, and resolve technical issues under time pressure.
- Understanding of access control, information security, backups, and disaster recovery principles.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays where required.
- Desirable Skills
- Experience with MT5 server architecture, configuration, and performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with FIX API connectivity, liquidity bridges, and execution-routing infrastructure.
- Knowledge of SQL databases, scripting, or automation using PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with monitoring tools, alerting systems, and incident-management processes.
- Familiarity with high-availability infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional Forex brokerage operations.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €30,000 - €60,000 Gross Per Annum.
