On behalf of our client, a well-established Brokerage company, GRS is looking for an Operations/Back Office Specialist to join their team in Limassol. The successful candidate needs to have a strong understanding of the financial institution’s functioning.   • Monitor reconciliation of cash/securities balances and open positions between internal accounts, and between internal accounts and external sources and reports of external financial service providers
  • Monitor the process of daily trading activity reports and statements to be generated in due course and submitted to clients in a timely manner; procure control of monthly fee/ invoice calculation and reporting
  • Monitor trade and transaction reporting obligations
  • Communicate with main brokers, custodians, counterparties, banks, etc. during business relationship set-up, account opening, etc.
  • Be responsible for compliance with the Company`s obligations regarding safeguarding of client financial instruments and funds
  • Submit statistical reports as required by the CySEC and a Banking Institution
  • Cooperate with and provide information upon request to the Company’s internal and external auditors, the Group’s internal and external auditors, and the Compliance Department
  • Develop and implement internal procedures in relation to Backoffice operations
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures regarding regulatory reporting
  • Be responsible for the oversight and timely regulatory reporting: MiFID II, EMIR transaction reporting, CySEC regulatory reporting, SFTR etc.
  • Holder of CySEC Advance Certification or be ready to undertake the examination within half a year
  • Holder of University degree in Economics or technical sciences or other form of education providing essential understanding in functioning of financial institutions, financial/investment products and services, securities, capital markets, etc.
  • Previous working experience in a similar role in a Brokerage firm will be considered an advantage
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal. Fluency in Russian will be considered an advantage
