We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Consultant to assist our client’s newly established farm, in setting up and optimizing their operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural operations, poultry farming, and supply chain management. This consultant will play a key role in helping establish efficient processes, infrastructure, and systems from the ground up. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to establish and optimize farm operations, including but not limited to production processes, feeding systems, breeding protocols, and waste management.
  • Advise on the design and layout of farm infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for biosecurity, animal health management, and farm safety.
  • Set up effective supply chain management systems for feed, equipment, and other essential resources.
  • Offer training and capacity-building sessions for farm personnel on operational procedures, equipment usage, and health protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity and sustainability.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational efficiency, offering solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in sourcing and establishing relationships with local suppliers, distributors, and partners.
  • Work closely with farm management to ensure alignment with business goals and budgetary constraints.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven experience in agricultural operations, preferably in poultry farming or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of farming operations, logistics, biosecurity, and animal welfare.
  • Fluency in English and Russian or Bulgarian or Serbian is a must, as the role involves working with teams and suppliers who speak these languages.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments and work effectively with teams from different regions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with farm management software and other operational tools is a plus.
  • A degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field is preferred, but not required if the candidate has relevant experience.
