DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all department policies and procedures are implemented

Participate in acquiring new business deals for the company

Book space on vessels, airplane and road transport

Handling the shipping process of goods using the appropriate transportation method (Air, Sea or Road)

Oversee the loading and discharging of cargo
-
Organize and coordinate the consolidation of small loads of freight into full loads
-
Check and prepare required documentations to meet customs requirements and its compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes

Coordinate with customs to ensure the smooth process of operations

Communicate specific cargo details to concerned parties to decide on appropriate transportation method
-
Liaise with third parties to move goods (by road, air or sea) according to customers’ requirements

Arrange payment of freight and other charges, or collection of payment on behalf of the client, in coordination with the supervisor
-
Coordinate with the supervisor for invoices issuance
-
Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislations, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
-
Assist clients in the event of a claim
-
Handle minor problems related to transportation of cargo and report major issues to the Supervisor
-
Report insurance and clients’ claims to the Supervisor
-
Participate in consolidation of information and preparation of reports as requested
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Distribution and Logistics

5 years in the NVOCC or shipping field

Required Initial Traning - 2 months rotation in departments
