GRS Recruitment are working in partnership with a growing brand in Limassol who are searching for a Oracle DBA to join the team. Our client who are expanding their operations in Cyprus offer a number of solutions on a global level including banking services, FX and fund administration. The successful candidate will be working as part of a global Database Team is responsible for managing Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS DocumentDB for this organisation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary support for Oracle databases, and Secondary support for PostgreSQL on-premises and AWS.

Install and patch database software and maintain the databases in optimal performance state.

Proactively monitor and manage all database environments, ensuring business users can run the systems efficiently and protected from failure (e.g., Make sure Backup and storage are always in good state).

Gatekeeper of all databases ensuring all database changes follow the change management procedures and the security policies.

Create well organized documents and standards so that DBA team members can use the same standard to manage the database environments effectively.

Provide Ad-hoc database requests to support the business and application teams in a timely manner.

Able to create a performance & tuning strategy to resolve performance issues in a timely manner.

Work with the Security team to make sure the database environments fulfil the Internal/External Audit requirement.

Flexibility to support the operations of our businesses and able to take on-call rotation.

Eager to learn and keep up with new technologies in both AWS (e.g., Oracle & PostgreSQL RDS) and native database (e.g., SQL Server on EC2).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
A good understanding of RDBMS concept and strong working experience in Oracle, some knowledge of PostgreSQL.

Experience in managing Oracle databases in RAC environment.

Hands-on experience in backup & restore, database refresh, performance & tuning.

Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in production environments.

Good understanding of Oracle Data Guard.

Good understanding in High Availability and Disaster Recovery
-
Knowledge in AWS, Network, Storage, Backup and Virtualization is a plus.

Solid working with Oracle databases.
-
PostgreSQL experience is nice to have.
-
AWS experience is a bonus.
